Director General Abraham Jolly will convene a delegation Monday to tour the communities of Eeyou/Eenou Istchee and speak directly with students.
“I want to reach out to our secondary school students,” Jolly said. “I want them to know that they’re not alone in their journey, that their challenges can be overcome, and that dreams can come true – in fact, they do. I want to leave them with tools and inspiration to continue their educational journey.”
Jolly will be joined on the tour by Deputy Director General (Operations) Caroline Mark. The delegation leaves Chibougamau on Monday October 29, 2018. The first stop will be Whapmagoostui.
“Our purpose is to connect, inspire, and support,” Jolly said, reiterating the value of meeting face-to-face with students and staff in their home community.
“It won’t be until we look back on our lives that we can truly identify those moments that made the greatest impact on our journey. This tour is an investment in our students’ futures,” he added.
The tour will conclude Tuesday November 6, 2018 in Mistissini.
