Introduction
The school was named after a well-respected elder who was an inspiration to all who have lived to be 114. The shape of the school represents a fish, which had sustained the people of Nemaska for generations.
Known as ELMS in the community, the school offers English and French from Grade 4 to Secondary 5. Pre-K to Grade 3 are taught in Cree. It provides the community a place where their children can go to pursue their education and to achieve their goals. It is a place where there is opportunity for success, and where our future leaders will come from. ELMS is a small school by inner-city standards, but it is fully modern. The staff is willing to rise to a challenge and work as a team to deliver the best possible education to our children.
