School Councils

According to the Collective Agreements, each school is to be represented by a School Council. The Council consists of at least three teachers and the school administration.

The Board and Union realize the need for consultation in order to ensure that the school operates in the best way possible. The Union (or its representative) are the only ones who may act on behalf of the teachers, as provided for in the Agreements.

The Administration must always consult with the School Council regarding policy changes or any other matters related to the education of students within the school.
