Niskamoon Program

Niskamoon Corporation & Cree School Board are working in partnership to fulfill the objectives of the Apatisiiwin Agreement of 2002. In Section 5.4 of this Agreement, Hydro-Quebec made a commitment to hire a minimum of 150 qualified Cree employees by 2017.

The Technical Employment with Hydro-Quebec (TEHQ) Program was developed as a result of this agreement. 
The TEHQ Program offers training and career choices to ensure that applicants meet Hydro-Quebec hiring requirements.

 Programs of Study

  • Electronics Technology in Telecommunications / Computers
  • Industrial Electronics in Instrumentation & Automation
  • Industrial Construction & Maintenance Mechanics
  • Automated Systems Electro-Mechanics

Upon graduation from the above listed programs, you may obtain permanent full time employment within the James Bay territory.

 Notes:

- An applicant who does not meet the requirements may be invited to the Pre-Requisites Training Program.

- An applicant who is not fluent in the French language may be invited to the French Immersion Program.
